Benefits

More details on the benefits of membership below can be found by using the navigation menus at the top of the page.

  • A La Carte Dining
    • The Club is open every day for à la carte dining.

  • Private Dining Rooms
    • The Club has seven exquisite rooms where members can enjoy a private meal or host a special event. The Club’s Banquet and Private Event Coordinator works with members planning private parties for 10 to 100 or more guests and will coordinate all the services needed to make an event memorable, including food, wine, audio-visual, and other special services.

  • Club Events
    • The Club offers a variety of events for all members and their guests. These include gourmet and themed dinners, wine tastings, speakers, tours, and festive holiday parties. We keep The Club the primary destination for our members throughout the year to bring friends together.

  • Work Room
    • Responding to member requests, The GeorgeTown Club is launching a Club Coworking pilot program two days a week for our members. The program will give members the option of enjoying a productive workday in the comfortable elegance of the Club, alongside other accomplished members.

Because this is a pilot program to gauge interest and use, the Club Coworking space - housed in the Club’s main floor Garden Room - will be available only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 a.m. - 4 p.m.; as the program matures, the Club will assess member desire to continue the program throughout the year and even extend the program to additional days. There will be seven slots available through an online registration system, with spots assigned on a first-come, first-serve basis. Walk-ins are welcome, as space allows.

Club co-workers will have access to complimentary coffee and tea service; light snacks; workstations with desks, chairs and power outlets; along with a separate designated space available for calls. Breakfast and lunch, along with espresso drinks, will be available a la carte through member tabs.

Those using the space are asked to wear business casual dress, commensurate with what is acceptable in the Grill; to use headphones for calls; keep noise and chatter to a minimum; be mindful of others’ space; and adhere to the schedule of 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. (there will be a hard stop to allow staff to reset the room for evening events). The coworking space is intended for the Garden Room only. Limited laptop use (no phones) in the Grill and Library will be permitted from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., but the majority of work should be confined to the designated workroom.

We look forward to welcoming you to the Club to experience remote working, Club style. Click here to make your Work Room reservation.
  • Sponsoring New Members
    • One of the greatest privileges of membership is the sponsorship of new members. In sponsoring newcomers, members build The GeorgeTown Club as a dynamic organization with a diverse membership that has been hand-selected by the people who know and appreciate the Club the most—the members themselves. As a member, filling out the Online Introduction Form is all that's needed to start the application process. For further information, please contact the Club's Director of Membership by e-mailing [email protected] or by calling (202) 333-9330.

  • Committee Participation
    • All Club members are invited to participate on the various Club committees based on their hobbies, special interests, and schedule. The current committees are Activities, Communications, Food & Wine, Governance, House, Membership and Reciprocal. If you are interested in joining one of the committees, please send us an email at [email protected] expressing which committee you would like to join.

  • Reciprocal Clubs
    • Through the Club's reciprocal network, members have access to more than 80 clubs in the United States and over 60 clubs Internationally. This includes full use of all facilities, amenities, and services that the reciprocal club has to offer, which may include à la carte and private dining, athletic or golf facilities, special events, and sleeping rooms. To use a reciprocal club, please contact us and a representative will write to the host club on your behalf to confirm membership and request privileges for your visit.

  • Guest Privileges
    • Members may share the in-house services of The GeorgeTown Club with others by extending occasional guest privileges, including daily dining, private parties, business entertaining, and Club events. As a reminder, it is the responsibility of the Club member to ensure their guests are aware of the club's House Rules especially for our dress code and conduct policies. Please contact the Club in advance of a guest’s visit to make arrangements. After a member’s request is received, Club management will work directly with your guest to make any special arrangements and they will be treated as “members-for-a-day".
